Clean up the World - 1st December 2007
1st of December 2007, Clean up the world day.  For another consecutive year Birzebbuga Scouts Group was heavily involved in this event.  We all met at out HQ , where we left to Wied il-Buni to meet representatives from the local council.  There we were given cleaning up tools like, garbage bags, shovels and floor brushes.  The group was made up of more than 30 members of whom 20 were cubs.  We were also accompanied by the Birzebbuga Girl Guides for this day. The weather was not that promising and approximately 1hr in the event, we had also some rain, but this did not cause the event to a stop.  We started our cleaning from the parking area near the Freeport and moved towards Pretty Bay. After the event the members of the local council presented T-Shirts designed for the event. Everything was over at approximately 1100hrs.
