20th January - Link Badge and Gold Arrows visit Saint John Cathedral  & National Armoury Museum

A Cultural Visit for the cubs of the Gold Arrow and those of Link Badge was held on Saturday 20th January 2007.
This is part of the gold arrow requirement where this Cultural Visit includes various historical places in Valletta.
We met at 8.30am at the Church Square where our transport was waiting for us to take us to Valletta.
Our first stop was at St. James Cavallier where the cubs visited two main exhibitions, one regarding modern art and the other one was about photography.
From St. James Cavallier we’ve headed to St. John’s Co-Cathedral.  A map was given to the leaders together with a hand set so that we could follow the map and learn about every section of the Co-Cathedral.  We stayed there for about two and a half hours stopping at each section and listening carefully.  This was a very nice experience where both the cubs and the leaders learnt a lot about this marvellous place.
Then we had a couple of photos outside the Co-Cathedral and headed straight to the Arms Museum.  There every cub had a hand set each and everyone could enjoy and listen carefully and understand the usage of all that equipment.
Time was up and we rushed back to the Upper Gardens where the cubs could nibble their packed lunch while we waited for our transport to arrive.
