This year’s national cub camp was organized from the 29th of April up till 1st of May. The camp started on Friday afternoon, where 12 Cubs from our pack and others from various groups arrived at the Rinella Scout Centre where they found their leaders waiting for them cheerfully! Afterwards all cubs were settled in camps,and the Camp was officially opened at 1900hrs by the Commissioner of Cubs Scouts. Dinner was served, teams were formed and instead of the usual night hike, a big screen was erected in the hall where Shrek 2 was shown.

The camp was split into 4 Sub Camps, each sub camp having a theme to work on. Cubs did many crafts, went on cultural visits, had a treasure hunt and even some time near the sea playing and building sand castles. Two badges were achieved during this camp namely, the Craftsman and the Athletes Badges. Each subcamp represented a particular colour and during this camp each cub tie-dyed a shirt with the respective of his/her subcamp colour.

The camp ended on Sunday at 1400hrs, where the Commissioner officially closed the camp and presented the packs with certificates for all cubs.

It was a nice experience for all. Looking forward for the next National Cub Camp.
