This weekend camp which was organised at the Zurrieq Scout Group’s headquarters was the final stage for the link badgers (10 in all) before they cross-over to the troop. During this camp various lectures where revised such as knotting, tracking signs, open fire cooking, country code and compass and mapping, and finally but not least pitching and striking tents, which they actually did themselves. On Saturday, the troop joined us for the afternoon and SL introduced the link badgers to the troop. The link badgers were then split into their respective patrol and then they started to prepare their dinner which was cooked on an open fire. Afterwards, games were organised and before the troop left a spiritual dimension was done. Campfire had to be cancelled cause of rain.
