Sleepover at Imġiebaħ on 25/26th August 2007

It was Saturday and as we agreed at 7:00pm we were at Birżebbuġa church square. We were twelve scouts, two leaders, and a venture scout. We arrived at Selmun by a mini-van and walked the short hike downhill to Imġiebaħ Bay and about 8:30pm we arrived to the bay.

First we prepared our sleeping bags, than ate our packed lunch. After some time, one of our leaders and two of us lit a small fire. While eating some hot marshmallows, our SL told us about her experience at the World Scout Jamboree in UK. At around 11.30pm, we went to sleep but there were a lot of mosquitoes which made it very difficult for many of us to sleep well.

The next day we woke at about 6.30am and after having a light breakfast, we went to have some fun in the sea. Time soon passed, so then we packed all of our stuff and began our way back to Selmun Palace where the transport was going to pick us up. At about 11.45 am we were back at Birżebbuġa.
